Natural Gas Turbine Pumping Station Control

Purpose

Control for autonomous power stations on the basis of the gas-turbine engines is one of the company"s activities. This should be the high-safety systems able to work under conditions of supply breakdowns, low temperature, absence of the operating staff. The system control a big quantity of parameters and situations. An example of such system could be the automatic control system of the technological process, which is used at the oil-fields of the Tyumen region.

  • preventing breakdowns.

  • staff safety.
  • economic indexes registering.

Control system structure

The control system includes:

  • gas-turbine power stations;
  • remote dispatcher"s workstation (gives the operator an opportunity to control several pumping stations simultaneously)

Separate elements of this control system are united into a local network Ethernet and can be remote from each other at the 100 m distance.

The control panel includes supply systems, security, sensor commuting and executive mechanisms control. All the signals are received and formed by the controller which handles all the control tasks and forms the information for the operator. The remote dispatcher station implements the visualization of station"s current station, archives the data and transmits operator"s commands.

Each of the panels in emergency can function independently of the dispatcher"s workstation. For this purpose every panel is equipped with a local operator"s workstation. The latter consists of an LCD display and of a waterproof keypad.

To increase the system"s safety the most important functions of the object"s control are dubbed by the independent subsystem, a minicontroller.

The electro-technical parts are chosen to ensure the widest range of working temperatures and to provide the anti-vibration of the whole set.


Operator"s station

Using the modern graphic interface, which is a de facto standard for the modern industry systems, allows the optimal visualization of the station"s work in an operator-friendly way. This interface also helps to register the station"s dynamics in the form of trends (schedules that are saved on the hard disk of the operator"s PC) and to make a logbook of events.

The possibility to make trends by the majority of technological parameters and the logbook of events make it possible to effect the analysis of the station"s functioning. This option is essential on the stage of setup when it is necessary to achieve maximal effect of the system.

The compliancy of the information and thoroughly developed interface help an experienced operator to control remotely three pumping stations at once without any limitations.

The control system underwent a series of multifold tests in the work mode. During these tests all the requirements of the customers regarding the additional adaptation of the system to the industry conditions were considered and realized right on the spot.
